Welcome to the SD#22 Technology page. Here you will find resources to support learning with technology such as web-based learning links, district approved web tools, sample projects and information about our Mobile Maker Space.
Our Technology Innovation Team has developed a Mobile Makerspace to provide all students of School District #22 with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) learning opportunities. The continually evolving Mobile Makerspace provides access to a variety of technological experimentation and design opportunities incorporating Lego robotics (EV3's, WeDo), Beebots, littleBits, Sphero robotics, and coding learning experiences that are appropriate for grades K-12. By bringing the Mobile Makerspace from school to school throughout the school year, all students are able to learn with these valuable learning tools. Learning opportunities provided by the program support the core competencies of the new BC Curriculum, addressing key learning standards of the new Applied Design, Skills and Technologies curriculum at all grade levels fostering essential work skills like collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking, design thinking, and project management.
