Centre PrinciplesConsequences
Respect your own and others' life space.

Students, while in attendance, are expected to be production oriented.

Staff will take three steps.
-First, staff will discuss with student.
-Second, staff will move student.
-Third, staff will remove student from the Centre.
Each situation is unique, but work production will be established in weekly goal setting. Consequences will be determined by staff and will be escalated. Where performance goals have not been achieved, staff will review with the student. If non-production continues a contract may be set up. The next stage may be suspension. Final stage is removal from the Centre. In all stages parents will be involved for students under 19.
Resources:
Library materials are to be returned to their location on the shelf immediately after use.
Misplaced text, loss of resources
-inconvenience to staff and students
-course cancellation due to lack of resources
Use appropriate language.Staff will take three steps.
-First, staff will discuss with student.
-Second, staff will move student.
-Third, staff will remove student from the Centre.
Wear appropriate clothing.Offensive clothing to be covered up or removed when possible.
Student will be sent home to change.
Phone use:
Conversations are to be very brief.
Be polite and take messages.
Personal calls can be made on staff phone with permission.
Staff will take three steps.
-First, staff will discuss with student.
-Second, staff will remove student's phone privileges.
-Third, staff will remove student from the Centre.
Academic Cheating:
Plagiarism
Copying another student's work.

1st offence=0
2nd offence=WD from course with F - start course over

Testing:
Notes may be used with teacher approval.
Staff will discuss with student.
Kitchen:
Use your own supplies and cups.
Clean up any mess or spills on counters, tables, floors or in microwave.
Students will keep the kitchen area clean or the kitchen privileges will be revoked.
Outside:
Use the picnic table for eating on - benches for sitting on.
Keep the area clean. Place garbage into the bin.
Smoke in designated area- Use ashtrays for cigarette butts
Spitting
Three steps.
-Staff to discuss with student.
-Student will be required to clean up area sweep the area, pick up garbage.
-The privilege of using the outside is suspended.
Snowballing-Student Removed from Centre.
