Art Department

The art teachers are continually impressed with the quality and originality of work that their students produce in the art rooms at WL Seaton. The students explore a variety of mediums in their junior years, and are encouraged to pursue their own favourite mediums and subjects in their senior years.

Painting, ceramics, drawing, glasswork, sculpture, mural work and jewellry design are just some of the things offered at Seaton.
The talented artists participate in several "in-the-field" workshops at the museum, Allan Brook's Nature Centre, Caetani House, local art
galleries, and out-of-town trips. The students are encouraged to
create work for the two annual gallery exhibitions at Gallery Vertigo in January, and The Vernon Art Gallery in June.
Murals and silkscreening are a passion for Ms Allardice, and she has passed on that passion to her eager students. Ms Thompson emphasizes the more traditional forms, so the students get wide and varied exposure to the arts.
We think it is a pretty exciting studio environment for our students- thanks for checking out our page!
