All School District 22 Facility Rentals Cancelled

As a result of the recent announcement by the BC government, regarding the suspension of in-class instruction, effective March 18, 2020, School District 22 (Vernon) is limiting public access to all school district sites by cancelling all facility rentals indefinitely. This preventative action is to assist in curbing the spread of COVID-19 and support health official requests for enhanced social distancing.

These cancellations affect any scheduled:

  • School Events;
  • District Programs/Events;
  • Community (youth and adult) groups; and
  • Non-Profit Societies.

During this time of closure, we also ask that any staff who need to enter District buildings, to refrain from bringing additional family members in to the schools.

Community groups who had events scheduled at a School District 22 site will be receiving communication from the School Rentals Department. Alternatively, questions or concerns can be sent to maintenance@sd22.bc.ca.

School District 22 continues to work with public health officials and the Ministry of Education on the COVID-19 response.
