Vernon Secondary School Library

​​ Our Library is open 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. You will find the new library spacious and well-lit with room for up to about 75 students at a time. In the library you will have access to about eighteen thousand books, magazines, videos, CDs, and encyclopedias.  Most of our non-fiction is on the second floor mezzanine, while our history & geography, fiction, graphic novels, large format and reference sections are all on the main floor. There are 32 desktop, 36 laptop, and 22 ChromeBook computers that students can use to access the Internet (including searching our Library catalogue and On-line Databases subscriptions), or to run productivity software (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher... and Adobe CS6 -  Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop...).

Our Teacher-Librarian is Mr. Mark Bendall, and our Library-Assistant is Ms. Flora Evans. If you are looking for a place to work with access to a rich array of resources in many formats, or needing help finding or working with information, then come on in!
