The Aboriginal Education Department provides programming and services to students of Aboriginal Ancestry enrolled in each Family of Schools and Alternate Program.

School District No. 22 has 5 Family of Schools: Clarence Fulton, WL Seaton, Charles Bloom, Vernon Senior Secondary, and Kalamalka.  Family of Schools contain 1 Secondary and a number of feeder Elementary Schools.

The Aboriginal Education Department also provides service to 5 Alternate Programs: Crossroads Alternate, Six Mile Education, Jr Open Door, SS Discover, and Outreach.

Each school year, elementary, secondary, and alternate program receive Aboriginal Target Funds Allocations.   A portion of these funds are allocated to each school and alternate program.  To view each Family of School and Alternate programs’ allocation, click here

To view the Aboriginal Student Population 2006-2007, as at January 2007 click here  Student population numbers  will be different than school allocation, based on budgetary revisions and the Ministry of Education Final Grants Allocation (December 2006).
