A new child care facility is coming soon to Lumby!

This new child care facility will include 24 spaces for infant-toddlers, 25 spaces for children three to five, and 54 spaces for school-age children.
School District staff will be joined by staff of the Whitevalley Community Resource Centre to share updates about this project, including the design concept of the new facility.
The new child care spaces are made possible through more than $11.5 million from the ChildCareBC New Spaces Fund. This fund is jointly supported by provincial investments and federal funding provided under the Canada-British Columbia Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement. British Columbia and the federal government signed an extension to the agreement for 2026-27 until 2030-31.
