If you are the kind of person that is dedicated to making a great district even better, you may be just the person we are looking for to join our team. We would like to say ‘thank you’ for choosing Vernon as the city in which to pursue your career.

Our district serves approximately 8,700 students and takes pride in the way it selects its staff members, whether teachers, support staff, contract workers or associated professionals. We select our employees based on the strengths and talents of each individual and the unique way that they can help to make a great district even better.

School District No 22 (Vernon) has approval for a five-year Special Program from the BC Office of the Human Rights Commissioner to allow preferential hiring of applicants, for all postings, who self-identify as having Indigenous ancestry. We believe that an equality of employees to students who self-declare Indigenous ancestry will help the District in our efforts to ensure equity and success for all of our students.

We have collective agreements with our Vernon Teachers’ Association, as well as CUPE Local 5523.
