The Board of Education of School District 22 invites the public to attend a consultation meeting on the district's finances and budget for the 2026-27 school year. The meeting will take place on January 28, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the School District Board Office (1401 15th Street, Vernon).
The focus of consultation will be how SD22 can continue to improve student success within available funding.
To inform this consultation, Superintendent Karla Mitchell will begin the evening with an update on SD22's key student data. Secretary Treasurer Adrian Johnson will then provide a financial overview, explaining the sources of revenue and the allocation of funds for various programs and services.
Trustees will be present to hear feedback from the public.
The presentation will conclude with a question, answer, and discussion session where the public can provide their input on the budget.
