Leadership Excellence Through Personalized, Tech‑Driven Learning
Part of leadership excellence at vLearn is using technology to make learning personal and engaging. Teachers are working to create interactive online spaces with tools like Microsoft Teams and Whiteboard for live lessons and discussions, as well as accessibility features in D2L Brightspace, including ReadSpeaker for text-to-speech support. School-based professional development days help staff build confidence with theses tools and meet our goal of knowing the resources and processes that drive personalized growth. Currently, secondary teams are diving into Amplify activities, middle years are exploring Khanmigo to boost writing skills and confidence, and elementary teachers are learning Reading Coach to strengthen literacy development. We’re also working with AI tools like Microsoft Co-pilot to make planning and productivity easier. To support families, we’ve developed an infographic of an online student to help them better understand the responsibilities of learning online and when learning online is the right choice for their secondary student. These steps keep us moving forward and ensure students and staff have what they need to provide a compassionate and successful school experience.
