Career Programs: Building Pathways to Tomorrow's Careers

Career Programs provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore future career pathways while still in high school. Through Dual Credit post‑secondary training, High School Sampler programs, and experiential learning days, students gain valuable hands‑on experience and insight into a wide range of careers, helping them make informed decisions about life beyond graduation.

Careers Trades

Many of these opportunities are strengthened through partnerships that reduce barriers and expand access for students. Programs such as the Trades class at Kalamalka Secondary School receive funding support from SkilledTradesBC, allowing students to engage in practical, skills‑based learning environments. SkilledTradesBC also supports Red Seal Train in Trades programs, including Culinary Arts, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Aircraft Maintenance, and many more.

This strong partnership between School District 22 and SkilledTradesBC ensures students are well prepared for post‑secondary education, apprenticeships, and entry into the workforce, while building confidence, skills, and a clear vision for their future.
