Kidston Elementary - Strong Minds, Strong Bodies

Over the past month, students at Kidston Elementary School have benefited from meaningful connections with community partners that support both academic learning and physical well‑being. These experiences have enriched classroom instruction while engaging students in hands‑on, memorable ways.

Science learning came to life through visits from Science Bob as part of the WWEST STEM Curriculum Support Series. Across multiple classrooms, students eagerly participated in interactive science and technology experiences that sparked curiosity and excitement. Science Bob’s engaging approach provided students with hands‑on opportunities to explore scientific concepts, deepening understanding while making learning fun and accessible.

Students also had the opportunity to explore movement and mindfulness during Physical Education classes through sessions led by Rob from Breakthrough Martial Arts. From Kindergarten to Grade 7, students were introduced to the fundamentals of martial arts while learning more about focus, self‑regulation, and how physical activity can support mental well‑being. The sessions were well received and offered students a unique way to connect body and mind.
